The sharp end.

LESSON PLANS.

The content of each lesson will vary from student to student, depending on previous experienc and how quickly a new skill is learnt.

Don't forget that every one learns at a different rate, so don't worry if you seem to be taking longer than your friends.

LESSON CONTENT.

The first 10 hours.

  1. Main controls, M.S.M. Moving off and Stopping
  2. Recap 1st lesson, then minor controls and more moving and stopping (Turning Left?)
  3. M.S.M. and Turning Left (and Right?)
  4. Turning Right. (Turn in the road?)
  5. Go for a drive in the country. Use of mirrors.
  6. Turn in the Road and town driving.
  7. Town driving and Left Reverse.
  8. Left reverse and turn in the road.
  9. More driving arround in the Chichester area, including reverseing.
  10. Roundabout theory and practice.

The above list may change slightly. For example, if you live/work close to some roundabouts, it would be more practcal to move hour 10 up the list slightly!

The next 10 hours (and beyond).

By now, you should be able to use your mirrors confidently, change gear, slow down and accelorate smoothly, whilst being able to plan ahead and anticipate the actions of other road users. The subjects covered next will include;

  1. How to deal with pedestrian crossings.
  2. Parralell parking.
  3. Bay parking.
  4. Emergency stop.
  5. A27/Dual carriageway driving to Arundel and Havant..
  6. As many 'Dodgy Junctins' as I can think of (including the A27 roundabouts).
  7. Driving to Bognor Regis or somewhere other than Chichester.
  8. Reversing practice.
  9. Night driving (when possable).
  10. Independant Driving.

This is a rough guide and in no particular order. I will try not to attempt anything if you don't think you are totally ready, but some times a little push is needed...........

Gaining Confidence.

All of your lessons are about learning new skills, gaining confidence and experience week by week, to prepare yourself for driving in the real world after passinfg your driving test. Therefore, if there is any thing you want to practice more often, let me know.

All of the above, except specific junctions, are covered in the handots I can provide, enabling you to study at home.

Don't forget that driving is suppossed to be fun! So if you're not sure about anything , please ask.

On final thought, Believe Nothing, Trust Nobody!
